2025 Porsche Cayenne Turbo – Luxury Suv

2025 Porsche Cayenne Turbo – Luxury Suv – Porsche is adding another model to its updated Cayenne lineup, one that should attract driving enthusiasts. The GTS returns with the powerful V-8 and performance component of the Cayenne Coupe Turbo GT. The luxury mid-size SUV competes with the 2025 Porsche Cayenne along with the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class.

The third-generation Porsche Cayenne features significant updates for 2024 that include revised styling, updated powertrains and suspension, and advanced technology. For 2025, the twin-turbo V-8 Cayenne GTS returns with model-specific tuning and exclusive styling details. Soft-closing doors, ambient lighting and a 360-degree camera are now standard, and the available Premium Package Plus benefits from HD-Matrix Design LED headlights. Porsche also improved the cabin air conditioning in the 2025 Cayenne.

The 2025 Porsche Cayenne is the kind of midsize SUV you’d expect from the company that also builds 911s and Caymans. All variants of the nimble crossover powertrains provide plenty of grunt, with fast models seemingly defying intelligence. The Cayenne has strong brakes, incredible lateral grip and responsive steering. Build quality is impressive, and Porsche offers plenty of performance-enhancing options for lower trim levels as well. Split the throttle, and regardless of powertrain, the Cayenne’s engine should sound fantastic at full throttle.

Porsche Cayenne Specs, Price, Mpg & Reviews

The list of negatives is the high selling price, as it can be very expensive with options or to move over the base model. At those prices, you’d think Porsche could give the Cayenne a better backup camera than the low-res version it has out there now. The SUV’s fuel economy isn’t impressive, and it doesn’t improve much with the hybrid model.

That said, the Cayenne is no SUV’s equal when it comes to engagement and comfort. There are more practical cars than the Cayenne, but the Porsche challenges you to find one more satisfying to drive.

Making 40 hp and 30 lb-ft of torque more than the previous version, the new Cayenne GTS will be the most powerful gas model in 2025. It gets a standard eight-speed automatic and AWD like the others. Fuel economy and range numbers aren’t in yet, but we think plug-in E-Hybrid models should be able to power around 30 miles of all-electric travel.

Porsche says the 2025 Cayenne GTS is more focused on off-road performance, and to that end, it comes with several model-specific features. It comes standard with automatic air suspension and torque converter, and the suspension facilitates a ride length that is 10mm lower than other 2025 models with air suspension. Vibration and body roll control are also said to offer a high degree of road-focusing performance.

The GTS borrows a few tricks from the Cayenne Coupe Turbo GT. It gets the Coupe’s front axle pivot bearing, which provides a more negative camber that improves cornering and steering performance. The GTS also gets the Turbo GT’s fluid transfer case.

Cosmetic exterior details limited to the GTS include black badges on the Cayenne’s sides and rear, front fascia with large air vents, curved headlights and red brake calipers. You also get the Sport Design package, which adds gloss black (instead of leather, like the previous GTS) rocker panels, window surrounds, wheel arch extensions and inserts. Previously done in black, the standard Sports Edition finishers are now painted in black bronze. The new Cayenne GTS also comes with 21-inch gray wheels and an automatic rear spoiler.

Options include additional exhaust tips as part of three different available Light Sport packages, which can reduce the vehicle’s weight by up to 55 pounds.

Adaptive cruise control costs extra, but the model’s 360-degree camera with active parking assistance is a new standard for this year.

The non-hybrid Cayennes offer the most cargo space, yet the BMW X5 offers plenty of power. Porsche doesn’t usually reveal details about the interior.

Standard equipment includes a 12.3-inch center screen, a 12.6-inch digital cluster, Apple CarPlay and a wireless phone charger. Soft doors and ambient lighting are new standard features this year. High-tech, customizable matrix LED headlights are available through the $6,600 Premium Package Plus. Porsche also offers a 10.9-inch head-up display, heated rear seats and a panoramic sunroof.
