2025 Audi A8 – Full-size Luxury Sedan – 2022 Audi A8 Facelift Revealed With Wider Grille and Updated Lights For the first time ever, the Audi flagship will be offered with the S Line package.
Audi may have doubled down on its SUV and crossover lineup in recent years, but the A8 full-size sedan remains its best car. The fourth generation of the Ingolstadt range enters the second phase of the life cycle with few external changes and all the technology that the four Ring currently has.
2025 Audi A8 – Full-size Luxury Sedan
Starting at the front, the base of Audi’s single-frame grille is now wider than before, and you’ll also see a more generous use of chrome to adorn the grille. The side air vents on the bumper are more vertical, and above there are redesigned lights that include no less than 1.3 million small mirrors for digital matrix functionality, making them easily customizable.
Aims 2010 Update
For the first time since the introduction of the A8 in 1994, Audi will offer an optional S Line exterior package that brings sporty design cues from the performance-oriented S8. At the rear, the OLED digital taillights are standard and feature new graphics based on recent Audi models, giving the Mercedes S-Class rival a more modern look when viewed from the rear.
Completing the exterior changes are four new metallic color schemes (District Green, Sky Blue, Manhattan Gray and High Blue) as well as five matte shades (Daytona Grey, Floret Silver, District Green, Terra Gray and Glacier White). . Chrome and black exterior packages are carried.
Considering that the interior was already luxurious in the A8 before the facelift, the German luxury brand made only subtle changes to the luxurious cabin. The latest Audi Virtual Cockpit is integrated with a 10.1-inch and 8.6-inch touchscreen. Speaking of screens, there are two more in the back for the rear seat entertainment system with a 10.1-inch screen.
The most important interior innovation is the A8L Horch, which was unveiled last week. Presenting only China’s passion, the extra-long sedan stretches to 5.45 meters (17.9 feet) in length, making it 13 centimeters (5.1 inches) larger than the A8 L. It’s clear that the large distance between the two axles allowed Audi to create the largest rear seat area on par with what you’d find in a Bentley Flying Spur.
New Audi A8 Poised To Be Brand’s Most Powerful Ev Yet
The more advanced version of the People’s Republic gets extras like deep floor mats, “Horch” embossing on the cushions, as well as more diamond studs and lots of real wood trim. On the outside, it can be distinguished thanks to the different grille and vertical bars, the two-tone color applied by hand, even more chrome, the Horch logo and the extended sunroof.
While the A8 L Horch only comes with a V6 engine in China, the European A8 / A8 L is available with a choice of 3.0 TFSI and 4.0 TFSI units in various states of tune, as well as diesel and hybrid powertrains.
These are carried over from the pre-facelift model and all feature mild hybrid technology and are mated to an eight-speed tiptronic transmission that sends power to the Quattro AWD system. Unfortunately, there are currently no good W12 threads.
Audi will have the updated A8 on sale in Europe from December, with prices in Germany for the base model at €99,500. power S8.
The 2024 Audi A8 is a premium sedan that balances relaxed styling with a tech-heavy interior and driver assistance technology.
Audi Q9 Gets Unofficially Revealed As A Flagship Suv Towering Above Bmw’s X7
The 2024 Audi A8 is a large luxury sedan. Buy it alongside the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7 Series, as well as the Genesis G90.
The A8 is a conservative, elegant choice. This stealth sedan is beautiful inside and comes loaded with technology. We rate it 6.6 out of 10 on the TCC scale. (Read more about how we rate cars.)
This large sedan wears a conservative wrap. Its shield-like grille, high-mounted LED headlights, traditional roof and taillights can easily be mistaken for Audi’s A4 and A6 sedans.
Inside, it’s a masterpiece of high quality, with a conservative, low dash decorated with a screen – three, that is. It’s light on the knobs and standard buttons, but the three screens work well enough after a brief tutorial. Luxurious materials elevate the interior to match the $90,000-plus price tag.
Updated Audi A8 Revealed In Horch Ultra Luxury Grade
The base A8 uses a 335-hp turbocharged V-8 with mild hybrid technology, while the S8 comes out with a 563-hp twin-turbo V-8. Neither model is slow, but the S8’s 3.8-second sprint to 60 mph is very quick. There’s also plenty of power in reserve. Fuel economy is justified at 22 mpg combined for the A8. (However, the S8 returns just 17 mpg combined.)
All in all, the 8-speed automatic with paddle shifters provides power to all four corners. The soft suspension in the base versions takes big bumps. The S8 is more stable, but they punish hard. Audi offers predictive air suspension that analyzes the road ahead and adjusts before a collision.
Neither is the A8 particularly fun to drive, but it’s smooth, refined and quiet in the way we’ve come to expect from a full-size luxury sedan. So is the cabin, which wears a lot of leather and equipment front seats with 22-way power adjustment, heating, cooling and massage. With 44 inches of rear-seat legroom, the second row isn’t cramped either.
The A8 comes with a fair amount of driver assistance technology, but you’ll have to spend money to upgrade the cruise control and additional technology that allows for hands-free driving for short periods of time.
However, Cadillac’s Super Cruise will allow you to operate hands-free for much longer. How much does the 2024 Audi A8 cost? The 2024 Audi A8 costs around $90,000 to start.
That money buys a lot of luxury sedans for that money, although its capabilities are increasing. It doesn’t take long to approach the faster $121,695 Audi S8. Where is the 2024 Audi A8 made? In German.
Elegant, dignified and unpretentious, the 2024 Audi A8 is the perfect sedan for those who don’t want to make a big fuss. It’s a 7 out of 10 thanks to lines that are sure to age well inside and out. That’s code for not exciting, but it’s hard to write.
The classic three-box shape carries Audi’s shield-style grille at the front and simple, integrated lights at the rear. Park the A8 next to the A4 or A6 and the family resemblance is obvious, if not downright confusing. They look the same. The S8 versions have sportier trim and bigger wheels, but they’re also trickier.
Tech Tour De Force: 2019 Audi A8 Driven!
Two screens on the dashboard control the climate, audio and infotainment controls. A second screen framed by the steering wheel serves as an instrument panel. That’s a lot of screen real estate, although Audi does a good job of throwing in bits of wood, aluminum and leather to spice things up.
The 2024 Audi A8 offers a luxurious ride, while the wild-child S8 balances refinement and driving pleasure.
These big Audi sedans have plenty of power under the hood no matter which engine you choose, and they drive beautifully. They get 7 out of 10 for their performance.
How fast is the Audi A8? They are in a hurry. The base 3.0-liter turbocharged V-6 makes 335 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, good for 60 mph in 5.6 seconds. The mild hybrid system does a good job of suppressing turbo lag by adding a little extra torque at low speeds.
The S8 models are much, much faster. Their twin-turbo V-8 pushes 563 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque to the wheels in a 3.8-second sprint to 60 mph. That’s pretty quick for any car, let alone a heavy sedan. They are not as fast as the top electric sedans, but they use the power to go faster at higher speeds.
The A8’s aluminum structure is more rigid, which allowed Audi to fit in a slightly more compact ride without compromising handling. Air suspension and adjustable shock absorbers give you a comfortable ride on any type of pavement, even if you choose bigger wheels.
In Comfort mode, the A8 is a little soft for our taste, while Dynamic Mode is perhaps too harsh. Optional rear-wheel drive gives the A8 a particularly planted feel at speed while aiding low-speed maneuverability. Not a game changer, but worth a try. Powerful, easily adjustable brakes are a fair trade-off for the light steering weight.
Audi A8 Review 2022: A Brilliant Luxury Executive Car, But Is It Brilliant Enough?
The largest non-electric sedan in Audi’s lineup has a classy look, as long as you’re okay with multiple screens. We rate it 8 out of 10 thanks to impressive front and back comfort, as well as luxurious materials.
Base models have 22-way electrically adjustable front seats with heating, cooling and massage. Look for 44 inches of legroom in the second row or choose the Comfort Rear Seat Package with individual seats that have power adjustment and heating/cooling.
All the materials are impressive, even if Audi doesn’t really deliver
